A collection of narrative-linked prose poems, and a prolonged ekphrastic engagement with Pablo Picasso's Blue Period paintings (1901-1904). The storyline loops and spirals from city-symphony motifs to feverish carnivalesque activity to labyrinthine catacombs to ocean-crossings to No-place. There are echoes of the epic poem, but this story is not a hero’s quest: this katabasis consumes itself like a textual ouroboros.

A scholarly monograph, or collection of essays, on signs, minds and creativity, or how to write like painting; thinking with: biosemiosis, emergence, Night Science, sleuthing, Peirce's abduction, synaptic gaps, mapping, the substance of time, blueness, utopias, ekphrasis. Many of these chapters are, or will be, stand-alone essays, such as The Cell of my Art as an Amoeba (below).
